With the 'autonomous production system' emerging as the final evolution of smart factories, a related conference and exhibition was held for the first time in Korea.

According to related industries on the 21st, the '2023 Autonomous Production World Congress (AMWC) opened at COEX in Seoul the day before.

In line with the trend of upgrading smart factories, it follows the 'Seoul International Smart Factory Conference/Expo' and 'Bu-Ul-Gyeong International Smart Factory Conference/Expo', which have been held in Seoul and Busan in the first and second half of each year, attracting industry attention even before the opening. done.

This event, which will be held on the 20th and 21st, will feature booth exhibitions and professional conferences in six fields, focusing on the core technology of smart factory advancement and autonomous production systems, the next generation development direction.

The six fields are intelligent robots/smart logistics session, smart factory manufacturing/production solution session, digital twin/modeling/simulation session, smart machine vision/AR/3D printing session, artificial intelligence/big data/machine learning session, and smart control/sensor. /This is a predictive conservation session.

On the 20th, an opening ceremony was held with keynote lectures by Makanarox, Mitsubishi Electric Automation Korea, Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Team, and Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency.

Gyeongnam Techno Park Director Noh Choong-sik said in his opening speech, “In Gyeongnam, we are not only seeing changes in the perception of smart factories, but also changes in companies.” He added, “If Korea is to maintain its status as a manufacturing powerhouse, a great digital transformation at the manufacturing site is essential. “The convergence of manufacturing and the Fourth Industrial Revolution must be achieved,” he said.

Gwang-Hyeon Ahn, head of the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Team, gave a welcoming speech and said, “We have entered an era where it is impossible to do business without digital transformation (DX),” adding, “The importance of data in introducing smart factories for small and medium-sized businesses cannot be overemphasized.” He said.

On the first day of the Autonomous Production World Congress, professional lectures were prepared with the participation of major domestic and foreign companies, research institutes, and academia in the fields of intelligent robots, smart factory manufacturing and production solutions, and digital twins.

LS Electric, KAIST, Younglimwon Soft Lab, Sungkyunkwan University, INEEJI, InterX, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, Hoseo University, Marposs, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology, and Smart M&F Group held customized on-site lectures together.

On the second day, starting with keynote lectures by INEEJI, POSCO, and Schneider Electric, lectures in fields such as smart machine vision, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, smart control, and predictive maintenance will continue. Rockwell Automation, Vernect, Double AM, Neurocle, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology 3D Printing Manufacturing Innovation Center, Machinalax, Snui Lab, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Pepper & Fox, etc. will be the speakers.

At the exhibition booth, various smart manufacturing innovation solutions using new technologies such as AI, XR, and digital twin will be displayed.
