Chinese AI startup 'DeepSeek' is shocking the global AI ecosystem by unveiling an ultra-low-cost, high-performance generative AI. Accordingly, the government as well as many companies are planning to accelerate the pace of AI development.

According to industry sources on the 5th, Kakao (035720) announced a strategic collaboration with OpenAI on the 4th and began expanding its generative AI business in earnest. Kakao plans to develop a hyper-personalized AI service by integrating OpenAI technology into its AI platform, Kanana.

Jaesik Choi, a professor at KAIST AI Graduate School, said, "In our country, we are weak in focusing on bilingualism enough to provide global services for learning purposes only. Even if we run like DeepSearch, it will take at least 2-3 years."
